About formatting text in Recent Sightings:

You can type your entries in Recent Sightings just like you do in any program, except for formatting text to appear bold and/or italic. To do this, you have to use special HTML tags. Sounds daunting, but it really isn't.

For example, to bold Cock of the Rock, type:
<b>Cock of the Rock</b>

To italicize Cock of the Rock, type:
<i>Cock of the Rock</i>

To combine bold and italics for Cock of the Rock, type:
<b><i>Cock of the Rock</i></b>
These are called nested tags, and their order is important.

One big improvement in our new version of Recent Sightings is that if you type your sightings as a list (each bird on a separate line), it will appear this way when you post your entry. Also, there now is no limit on the length of postings.

Please email herb@moonmountaingroup.com if you have any questions or problems with using Recent Sightings.

Thanks!
